365 Cards Challenge Day 18 3x3

I thought I would give this challenge a try since I liked the idea of the little cards. I bought a new paper pack at Hobby Lobby since they are on sell this week. Well I bought two but this one is called The Basics. The stamps are stampin up that I got at a garage sell. I colored the stamps with my prism colored pencils. The birds heart I added flock on top of it.

It is hard to see the idea of the size of this card so I took this one to help visualize the tiny size.

St. Patty's Candy Bar Wrappers

I wrapped Hershey bars in the cute green paper and added a scallop with the super cute Leprechaun cut at 2 3/4 in. from Simply Charmed.

Ballerina/Princess Birthday Card

I had a special order for a 3 year old that likes princesses and ballerinas. I had a hard time deciding between the two so I made a double sided card. This was the first time I had done this. I loved using my Paper Dolls cartridge. I love it and don't get to use it often enough so I may have went a little over board. She showed some people at her work and I had two more orders for the same card. So three down.

I used my prisma colored pencils and blended with gamsol. Added a few gems with my Irock and ribbon and there you have it.

Bithday Hop Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of Jennifer's Birthday Blog hop! To see the entire list and yesterday's post scroll down.   Today's card was a special order from a woman at my hubby's work. I hope she likes it.

The bottom is cut with my wonderful purple cow cutter and has a wavy edge. I used Sweat Treats for the cake and the happy Birthday. I used my I*rock to add some bling. I printed the happy birthday on front with my printer.  Of course added some spray glitter cause everything looks better with glitter :)

Birthday Blog Hop

I was so excited to get this stack of paper (Birthday extravaganza by the Paper Studio) because I thought it would be perfect for birthday cards. Then I cut several paper and was stuck. I stared at these papers for days and finally I have finished a card using it. The cupcake is cut from Sweet Treats, sprayed with glitter and buttons were added. The birthday was also cut from Sweat Treats, embossed and spray glittered.

Man I am getting predictable, I did another tutorial. I just love Splitcoaststampers tutorials. Why reinvent the wheel? I made this card with a match little purse for my nieces' birthday. My nieces' are turning 9 and 6 so I kept these very young and fun for them. I made a card and a little notebook to go with them.

Now for some blog candy. I love this stamp set and have made several birthday cards with my set. I mixed a tons of flowers from all different jars so you can have a mix.And who can't use more pop dots.

I have yet another Splitcoast tutorial for you today. I guess you can say I am obsessed with the tutorials right now. This was my first attempt at this easel card. I am happy with the way it came out and it baffled my husband so that is always a plus :)

I used Simply Charmed for the fish and pole. I cut out the scallop and circle with my nestabilities  then embossed the circle and inked the edges of the circle. The tag is from TBBM and the Happy Birthday is from Birthday cakes.

Birthday Cards for GD

I wanted to make a card using a different technique today. I decided to hand color some very cute Penny Black stamps. I love Penny Black stamps. This is a clear stamp set I bought a couple years ago. I wanted to make a male and female card. I have such a hard time making male cards. I honestly find them boring to make, lol. My wonderful husband bought me a Purple Cow paper cutter from Costco for Valentine's Day. Never mind the flowers give me the crafty products. This paper cutter have 7 different blades and one is a perforated blade. I saw the bookmark card on Splitcoast stampers and tried making it and cutting the bookmark by hand but I did not like how it came out. So I finally got to make this card. I did not use the tutorial I just sized it the way I wanted and started the decorating.

I hand colored the stamps using my Prism colored pencils and blended with Gamsol. After it dried I used the Glossy Accents on the balloons and tie.

I cut the label from Lacy Labels then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.On the close up you can see how the Glossy Accents shines. It looks better in person.

The inside sentiment is the same as the front except I added some bling on the corners using my I*rock.

The bookmark is not perfect but that is the beauty of handmade. This was my second attempt at this bookmark card. I am improving with each try.

The male version of this bookmark card I kept very simple. I did most of the same things as the female version.

It is hard to see the Glossy Accents on the tie but it looks good in person. The label was cut from Lacy Labels and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

This saying seemed perfect to go with this digi.

I used my I rock to add a couple green emeralds to the tag. Hope you like this card. My husband loved it and wants to take it to work to show the ladies he works with. This is a big deal since normally he just says uh huh thats good hon. lol. Thanks for stopping by!

GD 1st post Birthday cards

yesterday where I was the guest designer! YAY super exciting. My first time guest designing. If you have an Iphone you should download this ap and check out all the great cards on it. I love to use this ap to lead me to get blogs while my hubby drives us to our destination. Check out her blog even if you don't have the ap there are so many great peoples cards on there.

My first posting is of two cards using the same cut from Sweet Treats. I used the cake on page 40 in the manual. I wanted to make something original, which is hard to do with all the great crafters I follow. I came up with this.




I cut the circles using my circle punch, inked the edges of the top two and glued them all down overlapping slightly. Then I tied the ribbon around the card. I cut the cake at 2 1/2 inches, stamped the image, and sprayed with glitter.  I use glitter that comes in a spray can. It is a lot cheaper to buy then the small bottles. You can find the spray glitter at any of the craft store in the spray paint section.

The second card I made is the same cake but the card cut out at 7 inches. I added the layers and sprayed glitter on the candle only. I added blue jewels using my I*rock at the bottom.

OWH Bunny Hop

My cold has really been kicking my booty so I only made two cards today.

My first card I cut the egg and chick from Simply charmed. The egg I inked the edges and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  The eggs on the bottom is a cute stamp I have from $1 set from Micheal's. The blue did not photograph well. I used a stencil I bought at Hobby Lobby for the stenciling around the edge, added some diamonds in the corners, and of course ribbon since I am obsessed with ribbon. 

Closer details of the chick. I added a bow and blush to make the chick more girly.

My second card I figured I need to make a bunny card since this is a bunny hop after all :) This is a simple card. I cut the bunny from Create a Critter and sprayed him with glitter. The sentiment I printed out, inked the edges and added it to the embossed scallop. I added ribbon and some bling to the scallop. The celebrate ribbon I got from Micheal's and love so I added that to the bottom.

Smiley Card Cake Cards w/ Alcohol Ink

I cut the cake from the Smiley Card on the Gypsy. I cut the happy birthday from Birthday Cakes.

The background I used Ranger Rick alcohol ink on white photo paper. Then I sprayed Glimmer Mist over the top of it. I used my three favorite colors on these cards. I really need to stop using these colors but I can not help it.

The top card I kept very basic because I really liked the way the background came out.
The bottom card I cut out circles using my punch and over lapped them slightly. The rest you can probably figure out but I love questions and comments so please feel free to contact me.
