Sketch Blog Hop

Welcome to the sketch blog hop! The purpose of the sketch blog hop is to show how different designers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards....
If you happened upon my blog, be sure to go to the first stop, www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com
so you can hop along with us. If you came from Davinia then you are in the right place.
So I switch the sentiment to the top and added a belt to the bottom but other than that it follows the sketch below. I used scraps probably DCWV, the celebrate is a dollar stamp. I used my Spellbinders to cut out the labels. The belt buckle is from Tim Holtz.
This inside sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy Birthday Innies stamp set.
Head on over to Beth next and see what she did with the sketch this month!

Blog-a-versary Challenge Dazzling Diamonds

Once a month Crafty Card Gallery has a challenge for us to participate in. This month we were given Dazzling Diamond Self Adhesive  from www.thebuckleboutique.com
This stuff is pretty amazing. It looking just like rhinestones but you can cut it in your die cutting machines or by hand. I cut the owl using my Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.
The candy cane I cut on my Cricut but the rhinestones I hand cut and added to the cane. The sentiments are from Stampin Up and I used my spellbinders to cut the scallop circles.
Make sure you head over to The Crafty Card Gallery and see the other Rhinestone Buckles projects.

Sketch Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sketch Blog Hop. Everyone has had so much fun doing these it's turned into a regular event!

The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! You should have come from: Jearsie, if you didn't be sure to go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com. Be sure to check out all of the fabulous cards at the different stops!
Here's the sketch:
Here is the card I made. I had to use my Iphone to take the picture so not the best but you get the point.
I used a tree image from The Stamping Boutique. I colored it with Copics and added Stickles to the bow. The wonderful thing about a sketch is that you can interpret it any way you want so I made a card with a tree because that is how I saw this sketch, a tree with something on it. The pears were perfect for that.
I am the last on the line up so hope you enjoyed the hop. Make sure to go back and check out the rest of the ladies projects if you haven't already.

You should have arrived from Susan and if you just happened along the hop, you can go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com Enjoy the hop!
This paper is DCWV and one of my favorite sheets of paper. It was in two stacks both of which I have.
I cut this card out using The Cricut Craft Room.I happened upon the Life's a Party cartridge in the Cricut Craft Room when they had it to use for free, which had a shaped card very similar to this sketch. The stamp in the middle is from Inspired Stamps birthday set. I love this set and they are have a sell for 40% off a set this week. I would pick this one up if I were you.
I accidentally cut the paper with the line crooked the first time so I used it for the inside.
Here is the sketch for this month.
Head on over to Zenita now and see how she used this wonderful sketch.

I love how this card came out. I used my Spellbinders for the flags. I added Peachy Keen faces to them and they are so cute! The happy birthday is a Stampin Up sentiment.

July Chopped Challenge

Welcome to Jennifer at Craft Card Gallery July challenge. We have been doing these for the past few months.

This is my favorite chopped card I have made so far and it was the hardest contents. Jennifer at Crafty Card Gallery really gave us some hard contents this time. See them below.
Here is the close up of all the materials. I actually took the zig zags cut outs off and used the big background piece over the whole card. The clear sheet I cut a small piece that had the binding piece and stamped it and put it in the envelope. You can clearly see the blue foil, eyes and envelope.
What was in the envelope?
blue foil, zig zags, arrow paper clips, google eyes, 1/2 sheet transparency and a mini envelope.

I used Recollections paper stack Monsters and Robots for the background blue paper and the robots orange. I cut the robot with my Cricut using the Robotz cartridge. The robot is on page 30 and cut at 3 1/2. I used Stampin Ups scallop punch and happy birthday stamp.

The rules this time?
Not too many - you
don't have to use all of anything but you have to use some of everything. You can make 2 cards if you want.
Now head on over to http://craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/2012/07/challenge-july.html and vote for my card :) or your favorite card which hopefully is mine. Thanks for stopping by!!
