http://365cards.blogspot.com/2011/03/day-18-3x3-times-3.html
I thought I would give this challenge a try since I liked the idea of the little cards. I bought a new paper pack at Hobby Lobby since they are on sell this week. Well I bought two but this one is called The Basics. The stamps are stampin up that I got at a garage sell. I colored the stamps with my prism colored pencils. The birds heart I added flock on top of it.
It is hard to see the idea of the size of this card so I took this one to help visualize the tiny size.

Birthday Cards for GD
This was my guest design post from yesterday on http://craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/
I wanted to make a card using a different technique today. I decided to hand color some very cute Penny Black stamps. I love Penny Black stamps. This is a clear stamp set I bought a couple years ago. I wanted to make a male and female card. I have such a hard time making male cards. I honestly find them boring to make, lol. My wonderful husband bought me a Purple Cow paper cutter from Costco for Valentine's Day. Never mind the flowers give me the crafty products. This paper cutter have 7 different blades and one is a perforated blade. I saw the bookmark card on Splitcoast stampers and tried making it and cutting the bookmark by hand but I did not like how it came out. So I finally got to make this card. I did not use the tutorial I just sized it the way I wanted and started the decorating.
I hand colored the stamps using my Prism colored pencils and blended with Gamsol. After it dried I used the Glossy Accents on the balloons and tie.
I cut the label from Lacy Labels then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.On the close up you can see how the Glossy Accents shines. It looks better in person.
The inside sentiment is the same as the front except I added some bling on the corners using my I*rock.
The bookmark is not perfect but that is the beauty of handmade. This was my second attempt at this bookmark card. I am improving with each try.
I hope you enjoy my cards. Any questions or comments are welcome. Stop by my blog to check out my other projects if you get the chance. http://craftygirl21.blogspot.com/

The male version of this bookmark card I kept very simple. I did most of the same things as the female version.

Thank you card-Stampin Up Stamp
I made a thank you card using a super Cute Stampin up stamp.
I hand colored the stamp using my Prism colors and blended with Gamsol. I attached it to a cute out from Lacy Label that I tied a sheer ribbon around. At the bottom of the label I put two pink circles using my I*rock. I made the flower using A Garden of Words and sprayed it with Viva pink Glimmer Mist and attached it with a glittered brad. For the background I used a punch to cut out squares (good way to use up scraps), inked the edges and glued then in three lines.

I have some clear Penny Black stamps but I don't know anything about stampin up to know if they are Penny Black. They look like it :) I love Penny Black stamps.

Friendship Blog hop
Welcome to my Blog, and the Friendship Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Shawnee, you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can go to the beginning at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com
. This blog hop is all about friendship; cards that you would love to send to or receive from a friend - congratulations, good luck, thanks for being a friend, etc. Sometimes it's nice to just send a card to a friend for no particular reason or to celebrate something with them. There will be opportunities to win some blog candy and get lots of ideas! So sit back, and enjoy the hop!
This is my first time participating in a blog hop so I got a little crazy with the projects.
My project for today included several cards since this is a card gallery hop after all. I could not just make a card with all the lovely visitors stopping by so I decided to do a couple of the tutorials on Splitcoaststampers.
This card was a lot simpler than I thought it would be. I saw this tutorial and had to give it a try.
I added Enamel accents in the middle of the flowers. It is hard to see but gives them some dimension.
I used my Irock to add a little bling to the sentiment.
Ingredients:
The Doodle Around Stack by DCWV patterned paper
Martha Stewart Version of a scor pal--much cheaper and I used a coupon. I love it.
Stampin Up Stamp
Irock~~my new toy
ribbon
flowers
brads
button
Enamel accents white~~on the flowers. This stuff is very neat if you haven't used it yet.
I am still debating adding something to the front of this box. When I figure out who I am giving it too I will personalize it a bit more.
There is a little note pad and a pocket for holding stamps on the base. Two pockets in front of the card holder for whatever you like. I am adding a few small cards, tags, and a decorated clothes pin or two. I am not completely done with all that yet since this is a card hop I focused on the cards first.
Here are some cards that I made to match this box. I am going to put several of them in it and use the rest as sets to give to other people. I am trying very hard to make sets of cards now instead of just one since I have way too many scraps. A 12x12 makes at least for cards so that is what I did.
These cards I printed out the sentiment and added a few buttons, flowers and a ribbon. I kept them very simple because I loved the paper and didn't want to cover it up too much.
These cards I used the tree from Simply Charmed. It is such a cute tree. I printed out the sentiment and inked the edges.
In case you get lost along the way here is the line up.

Awesome Week!! Valentines Sale
I am a teacher in a rural area and have a VERY low class this year. They have a very hard time reading and really enjoy listening to books on CD’s. We have two working portable cd player and for 23 kids that is just not enough. So we decided to sell the above candies to buy more cd players and more books with cds. They colored the stamped images and glued them to the scallop I cut using Lacy Labels and they tied ribbon around the first two hundred then we stopped that part to save time and money.
They have sold almost 300. I just ordered 10 cd player. We had just decided to spend the rest of the money on books with cds when the director of the afterschool program walked in and gave us the best gift. She brought us a whole box full of books with cds that she said we could keep! So I actually get to put the extra money toward something else. God knows I spend a ton of money on my kiddos.
Here is the thank you card I made for her. I am so excited that we got all these books.

Flower Bouquet Center Pieces
Now that people know I can make things I have be recruited to help with the center pieces for a pot luck we do for our classified staff at my school. I came up with the theme of spring so that I could make flower center pieces. I normally do them in vases but they were out at the dollar store and I saw these cute baskets. They are a little harder to work with but cute. I had to improvise on how to get the flowers to stand up. I ended up sticking the wood into a starburst and using hot glue to tack them down. It worked well. I received a lot of compliments.

Again I used Plantin for the flowers and Penny Black stamps to decorate the baskets. I colored the stamps with my prism colored pencils.
