Sport Themed Birthday Cards

Someone asked me to make these two cards for her sons. I made them very simple because I don't think guys are as into details. I made the background in photoshop using a picture I downloaded from the Internet, cut the labels from Lacy Labels, stamped and added some brads.

I embossed the silver background.

Card Box using Spring Shower Digi

I made this box for my friends birthday. I added some cards I made that see will be able to give out to her friends. I found these plastic containers at Michael's awhile back for around 50 cents. I added the decorated paper on the lid on both sides. I cut out the word cards with my Cricut using SCAL.
I wrapped a ribbon around the whole container.
On the inside I added the Spring Shower Digi that I colored using my Copic markers. I add Glossy Accents and sprinkled glitter on top of it. I added some flowers to go with the flowers she is throwing.

The glitter and shine does not show well but it looks good in person. Thanks so much for looking. I am pretty sure my friend will like it. I hope you do too.

Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to our Mother's Day blog hop. We are making some great projects that will hopefully inspire you to make some beautiful crafts for whoever you cherish on Mother's Day.  We have some great projects lined up for you today. Make sure you check out all the blogs to see all the wonderful projects. AND don't forget the blog candy below.

I am making my MIL a glass block. This is my first time to try this. I added etching cream all over the whole block then cut a white vinyl M and swirl and added them to the front.
Here is what it looks like at night. The block will be on a stand when its all done. I am not sure I like the one solid light. I am probably going to change it to the small strand of Xmas lights.
I like the vinyl one better I think so I am probably going to add a vinyl M to the other one in a different color.
Of course I made a card to go with it. I can not add my mom's gift on here yet since she looks on here :)

I also made some cards for the ladies at my hubby's work. I hope they like them. They are my biggest customers :)

I made several in spanish. There are closer pictures at the bottom of this post.

Now for the blog candy! There are several things up for grabs today. Our sponsor is Kich N Bleus! They are offer a wonderful set of digital stamps for one luck person today! They have a great spring collection that is $7.99 but for one lucky winner it will be free!

Miki Eating Cake Birthday Card

Ok if you have not checked out Sew Many Cards digital stamps I highly recommend them. They are so cute and pretty much all of them are only $1! I am not just saying that because I am on their DT starting next week either. I have purchased at least seven of their cute stamps and I am sure I will buy more in the future. This one is called Miki Eating Cake.
I colored Miki with my prism colored pencils and blended with gamsol. I added Glossy Accents on the cake and cut him out by hand and used pop dots to lift him off the oval cut from Plantin.

Kich n Bleus DT -Coasters

Welcome to my Design Team post! I hope you enjoy the coasters I made. I was getting tired of only making cards so I thought I would change it up. We all had a certain image to use but I used a couple more as well. This set has some great Earthy images. Check out the Kich N Bleus store for all the details. So on to the details...
Well I figured out a few errors in my ways doing these coasters. So let me share with you my flaws so you don't have to go through them. I used cheap coasters that I had got from Michael's a long time ago that had some ugly design and covered them with paper. I taped them down with the best double sided adhesive in the world, the red lined tape. BIG MISTAKE. After applying Modge Podge it bubbled up big time. So on try number two I used Modge Podge to glue down the paper then more Modge Podge on top of the paper, laid down my image on that then more Modge Podge on top the whole thing. Seems to have worked this way.
I colored the image with prism colored pencils and blended with gamsol . I took picture of all three of them before I applied Modge Podge so you can see the details in the images better.

All three together after the Modge Podge
Here is what the finished products looks like. Now to see if they hold up after use. I will let you know, will I will make more if they work and let you know.

Now lets see what my team has made with the other cute images in this set. Check out the blogs below. Also don't forget to stop by the store and pick these cute images up if you want to use them :)
