Whimsy Stamps DT Call

Whimsy Stamps is having a Design team call. I love many of the stamps that they have to offer so I am trying out for their team.

Here are a few projects that I have made lately.
Here are a couple cards...

I made a bunch of these corner bookmarks with Meljen's digi I got from Whimsy Stamps store.

Thank You ~Rubber cement technique

This was my first attempt at using Rubber Cement to decorate my card. Let me explain...
First I stamped the flowers and thank you using clear dollar stamps that I bought at Michaels. After the background was all stamped (a bit too many flowers but I was just playing around). Then I took rubber cement and a paint brush and covered all the white parts with a thick layer of rubber cement. I needed to go a little thicker but impatience made me go to fast. After the rubber cement dried I sprayed the whole background with green spritz and let that dry. Then I rubbed the cement off and those parts remanded white.

This is a good technique and I will be trying it again. This first try came out ok but there are some problems with it. You learn from your mistakes right.

School Corner Bookmarks cont.

I posted a couple days ago the start to my making corner bookmarks for my teacher co workers. I have made several more that I am current packing.

Here is the next sets that I have made.

This cute little apple is a freebie from Meljens Designs. I colored it with my Copics. My shading could still use come work.
This cute little turtle is from Bugaboo. I colored them with my Copics.
Here is how I am packing them to hand them out. The back to school image is from Meljens Designs and again colored with Copics.

I hope my coworkers like these. Thanks for stopping by!

I am entering this into this challenge.

Birthday Set

I made this set for my nephew's birthday. His bookmark I used Plantin for the letters and the faux stitched them. I then laminated it and added a ribbon.
This is a candy bar wrapper which he was most excited by. I used Riley and colored him with copics. I added some Glossy Accents dots. If you have not made one of these yet they are super easy. I just wrap paper around a candy bar and use Tacky Tape to secure the top, bottom, and side. I use my paper crimper for the top and bottom.
I am so bummed I can not find the picture I took of the inside card. I know I took a picture but it is no where to be found which is a bummer because this has a gift card folder on the inside. I cut the cake from Smiley Card and spray glittered it. The rest is pretty simple to see.

Raiders Card

I was excited to see that Joann's has a pack of paper and stickers with Raiders theme. I have many people that ask me for raiders birthday cards so I am glad they had this pack. I made the sentiment and image in photoshop. I found the image online and added the number. The card itself is made from silver paper. This is a very simple card but I like the way it came out and so did my customer.

I love this digi stamp! I will be using it often and you can too if you stop by Sew Many on Friday and pick it up for free!
This card is pretty easy to figure out. I colored the digi with Copics and used a punch on the side. The happy birthday sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michaels. Please ignore my signature in the middle of the card. I accidentally put it there and saved it that way.

Well head on over to Sew Many on Friday and pick up this cute freebie.

Don't you just love this Bugaboo digi. It was one of their freebie which is now on sale at their store. I colored it with Copics.  I embossed the green paper and used my punch. I love this paper and have had it for a long time so I am not sure which it is but its probably DCWV. This is the current challenge sketch on Bugaboo Wacky Wednesday 13 on Crafters Digital Art Center
I used Pink by Design Christmas Wishes on the front and inside of this card.
This card was inspired by the above card. I used the same pack of paper and another super cute Bugaboo digi. I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to the hat. I used a Pink by Design Christmas Wishes sentiment. I added a few brads and some fantastic twine and there you have it.

Lacy Labels Bday Card and blog hop winner

I decided to make a card without any designer papers. I took blank cardstock and cut the center label from Lacy Labels at to different sizes. I used a $1 stamp that is the leaf and stamped it twice then added a flower to the middle with a cute brad and some ribbon in the background. This card is very simple for me but I like how it came out.

Also here is the winner of Kich's Birthday Blog Hop ~~
