Miki Pink Bday Card

So if you follow my blog this card might look familiar. I made one just like it with a different image and a customer saw it and wanted the same layout with a monkey instead of the elephant card
The happy birthday 2 U is stampendous and the monkey is Miki from Sew Many. I colored him with Copics and and Stickles to the cake.

Sew Many Challenge # 62 ~Anything Goes

Sew Many is having an ANYTHING GOES challenge. Head over there and link up your current project.

Here is my card for the challenge. I made this card for my youngest niece. She just turned one and this angel was just perfect. I colored her with Copics and added stickles to the wings. I added pink gems with my Irock and pink brads. I printed the sentiment and inked the edges and added some twine. Pretty simple card but I love the way it came out.
My niece is so cute I have to share her too.

Advent Calendar Count Down

Ok I finally decided to join the Christmas in July craze. I couldn't help but make my take on Giselle's Advent calendar.
I love snowmen. The only Christmas decorations I have in my house are snowmen so I made this count down to Xmas in my favorite color and decoration.
I looked on birthday bash to see which tag Giselle used and found it and cut it in blue and white. I trimmed down the white one so there was blue showing on the top and bottom. I embossed the white one with snowflakes.
This beautiful snowman is this Friday's freebie at Sew Many. Since it is a digital stamp I can size it however I like so I made a small and large, cut around them and colored them with my copics.
I did not make my base very well and had to do some work to get it not to fall backwards.
The tags fold over the back. I made a lot of mistakes making this and I am not the one to explain how to make it. I will work on some more later that hopefully I will do a better job on and explain better later. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to stop by Sew Many on Friday and get this cute freebie.

Kich's birthday blog hop

Happy Birthday Kich!
Welcome to Kich's birthday blog hop. If you came here from Esther than you are in the right place. If you stumbled across this post you should go back and check out everyone's posts. This is a surprise hop for Kich and I hop she enjoys the surprise.

I made a card to share today. First I had to use one of Kich's cute digi stamps, she is the artist behind Kich N Bleus Designs, so I picked this cute cupcake girl. Kich has a very cute birthday set of digis that I do not yet possess that would be great for birthday cards too, so you will have to check those out in her store as well and this cute one from the Designers Choice set.

The front is pretty easy to figure out. I layers some cute papers, added a few flower brads, added a double layer of a skinny ribbon, printed the sentiment out and added a digi stamp colored with my Copics.
The inside I did a pocket. You could added gift cards, money, a tag, whatever you like. I would print out a message and add it to the left side as well. I explained how to make the pocket here however I made a mistake cutting the paper while making the pocket on this one and did not want to waste the paper so I added the extra cross over on top. I like how it came out as well as the original. This week my mistakes have made my cards turn out even better :)
I hope you all enjoyed my card and hope you head over to Kich N Bleus to wish Kich a happy birthday. I know I would love a surprise hop on my birthday.

Oh and I almost forgot the blog candy! One winner will win "Kich Celebrates" collection. This is a very cute stamp set. Here are two of my favorite images from the collection.

Sew Many Challenge #61 Cookies

Sew Many is having a challenge this week "cookies" anything to do with cookies however you interpret that.  I made a recipe book with cookie recipes as well as others.
I made my pockets first then I used chipboard for the cover that I measured to be bigger than my pockets. I used tacky tape to add the decorative paper. I added a hole to use ribbon to tie the book closed. I added some metal accents with my Irock and added ribbon on the binding.
The images I used are from Sew Many. Aren't they cute. Miki is a fantastic little monkey.

For the pockets I use a 12x12 and score the bottom and folded it up then folded the paper in half so it makes a pocket. I believe I scored it at 4 in but you can make this book any size and anything you want.
I made four pockets and several recipes I printed out in word and moved the margin on the right side over until it fit. I had to do a few test prints. I used my bind it all to put it all together.

Scraps Blog Hop Day 2

Scroll down for Day 1 of this wonderful hop.

This dragonfly was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and gems added with Irock.

I just love this digi right now. I get stuck on using the same stamps over and over for a short time until my next obsession. This Sassy Cheryl digi is my current favorite. I colored it with Copics and added stickles to the cupcake. A little twine bow, some faux pearls and lots of scraps. I used a few sheets of 12x12 paper from My Minds Eye to a card the other day and of course had lots of left overs. So I made these cards from the left overs.

These two cards I used a stamp from Stampendous (Two You I think) and used my Copics and Prism Colored Pencils to color them.
