Please Vote for me :)

Easel Card Girl Version

Here is my second Easel Card. I finally got to the girl version of this card. I found this lovely image on ETSY and bought it. I love how this card came out. She is so cute.
I colored her using my prism colors and blended with gamsol. I decorations are pretty easy to figure out. The ovals where cut with Plantin Schoolbook.
I used the printer trick that I explained on my Hawaiian girl card to get her on the pre cut oval.

I bought a new Fiskar stamp set with this great stamp. I hope you all like my card. Thanks for taking time out of your day to look at my blog!

My first two blog awards

Lisa from http://lisascreativeniche.blogspot.com/ picked me for this award at the begininning of the month and I am finally finding time to post about it! I have been so crazy making things for people that requested stuff I haven't had much down time.
As a receiver of this award I am supposed to tell three things about myself that are different than everyone else and to choose 3 more recipients for this award as well, so here we go:
My three different things...
1. I don't eat left overs. yuck!
2. I don't like chocolate. I know that is strange to most of you.
3. I don't know how to relax. I am always go, go, go. A day sitting at the beach it my version of torture.
Here are my 3 blogs I choose to forward this award to.
http://aliceslittlewonderland.blogspot.com/
http://yolanda-imaginemakeshare.blogspot.com/
http://livingorganizedchaos.blogspot.com/

I received this award awhile ago and have finally found the time to post about it.

The last award I received was the Liebster Award. It is designed to bring new blogs to light. It is a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you may want to share with others. I am here to honor 3-5 blogs to bring awareness to other wonderful blogs. As a recipient you must share the love and pay it forward by:

1. Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster Award ; reveal your 3-5 blog picks.

2. Let them know you chose them

3. Copy & paste the blog award to your blog

4. Have faith that your followers will rally & show their crafty love back out to those you awarded

5. Have FUN!

Kich N Bleus ~Hawaiian Card

I love the layout of this card.I used a page of a book and distressed the edges, matted and added to white metal circles (I have no idea what these are actually called) with my I*rock in the corner. I added more paper as you can see in a Hawaiian paper. The middle background paper is embossed and the edges are inked.
TIP***I saw awhile back a tip from a fellow crafter. I wish I still had the post but unfortunately I can not remember where it is located. She said that see printed her digital image then put the cut out shape on top of the printed out page and re-ran it through the printer to print the image on the pre cut shape. So I tried it and YAY it worked. Super excited because I can not for the life of me get the center on the Cricut to cut right. So I cut out the oval then taped it on top of the printed out image and ran the paper through again. I did this with several images and am so excited it worked. I am so thankful for the lady that gave me this tip. Thank you!

I inked all around the circle with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Honey something :) I colored the skirt with my copic marker then added a think layer of glue and glittered with a matching color. I colored the rest with my prism colored pencils then blended with gamsol. I am not good at my Copic's yet and only have 6 so I am slowly figuring them out. I think I need different card stock to color my copic on and I am not sure I want to invest more money on them yet. Anyhoo on to the image...
Here is the set of digital stamps I picked from. Check them out here. You get 13 images for $7.99. That is a great deal if you are interested in them.
I found this card layout on a wonderful blog I follow http://simplystamping.blogspot.com/ She makes very pretty cards.

My Little Altered Notebook

I actually made something for myself. I altered this little notebook that I got from Michael's in the dollar section. I had a hell of a time with this one for some reason. I guess I was having an off day because normally altering notebooks is easy but this one was not. However when it was all said and done it came out cute.
The inside of this notebook had a second thicker page that I added the paper to as well.
The back of the notebook.

I cute the turtle from Create a Critter at 1 inch.

Baptism Card

This was my first baptism card I have ever made. I am not catholic so I had no idea what wording to put on this card. I tried one with the words and one without. I used Wedding Solutions for the cross.I made the shadow in white. The blackout I made white then sponged on blue ink (which is hard to see in the picture). I spray glittered the top layer of the cross.

So which way do you like better?? With or without the words?? I can not decide. The person I made it for likes it without.

Inside of the card without the saying on the front.

More Ballerina Birthday Cards

After making this card I have had 4 more cards like it requested. I decided to make a few extras in case anyone else requested them. Here are the ones I made this time. I have a few more ballerinas made for a few more later.
This card has my favorite color! I used a glue pad with the happy bday stamp and added glitter instead of ink. Added a little bling with my I*rock. The ballerina is from Paper Doll Dress Up. Here is the post to my first three cards like this one.

I used a gel pen to stitch along the top and bottom of the card. I am not that good at straight lines but I am getting better.

The flower I used the glue pad around the edges of the flower and added glitter. I like how it came out. Rhinestones were added at the bottom of the tag I made.
I love questions and comments from all the wonderful people looking at my page. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. I can't believe I have 151 followers now. Just a couple months ago I only had 40. It means the world to know that people like my projects, so thank you!

Baby Onesie Card

My first card that I used SCAL. I have been wanting to make a onesie card for awhile but did not have a cart with it on there. SCAL came with it so I cut out two for the twins my friend just had. I wrote their name on them with a gel pen. Everything else is pretty easy to see.

Thanks for looking! So glad to have so many new followers. I hope you enjoy looking at my projects as much as I enjoy sharing them.

Post it Calendar

I made this for my hubby's desk at work. Which it may never make it to :) I love the idea of it and want to make some more girly ones. It is hard to decorate something for a guy. I really wanted to add some flowers and rhinestones but he said no...lol.

I cut a piece of thick chipboard and rounded the corners. Added the three darker green paper and post its, calendar and a saying to encourage the hubby. Added some brads and that's about it. I wanted to add something to the top right but I couldn't think of anything that wasn't girly. I got this idea from another wonderful crafter who sent me the excel file for the calendar so I didnt have to make it myself. I can't find the original post though. More of these to come.

12 x 12 Calendar

I needed a calendar for my crafty room and this is what I came up with.I really like how it turned out and it was simple.
Instructions:
Start with two 12 by 12 cardboard pieces
Cut 3 inches off of one of them so it is now 12x9

add adhesive to three sides of the 9x12 piece

cover the front with decorate paper and ink the edges if desired- I used one 12x12 sheet and cover the 9x12 and used the other 3x12 piece on top of the full 12x12 piece.

Adhere the two cardboard pieces together so they make a pocket
I printed the calenders from this website http://www.printable-calendar.com/
I added a piece of cardstock in the back of the 12 months of calendar printouts and used my Bind-It-All to put them all together.

Slide the calendar in
decorate as you desire
Here is my final project hanging on my wall. I hope you like how this came out as much as I do.

365 Cards Challenge Day 18 3x3

http://365cards.blogspot.com/2011/03/day-18-3x3-times-3.html
I thought I would give this challenge a try since I liked the idea of the little cards. I bought a new paper pack at Hobby Lobby since they are on sell this week. Well I bought two but this one is called The Basics. The stamps are stampin up that I got at a garage sell. I colored the stamps with my prism colored pencils. The birds heart I added flock on top of it.

It is hard to see the idea of the size of this card so I took this one to help visualize the tiny size.

Ballerina/Princess Birthday Card

I had a special order for a 3 year old that likes princesses and ballerinas. I had a hard time deciding between the two so I made a double sided card. This was the first time I had done this. I loved using my Paper Dolls cartridge. I love it and don't get to use it often enough so I may have went a little over board. She showed some people at her work and I had two more orders for the same card. So three down.
This is the front of the card.
This is the inside.
And here is the back or front depending on the way she wants it.
Here are the other two I made to copy the original.

DT~Travel Kich n Bleus

Here are the new digi stamps from the DT I am in. If you know someone traveling these would be perfect. You can find them here. http://kichnbleusdesignsstore.blogspot.com/

I used my prisma colored pencils and blended with gamsol. Added a few gems with my Irock and ribbon and there you have it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and looking. I love comments so please don't be shy :)
