Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to our Mother's Day blog hop. We are making some great projects that will hopefully inspire you to make some beautiful crafts for whoever you cherish on Mother's Day.  We have some great projects lined up for you today. Make sure you check out all the blogs to see all the wonderful projects. AND don't forget the blog candy below.

I am making my MIL a glass block. This is my first time to try this. I added etching cream all over the whole block then cut a white vinyl M and swirl and added them to the front.
Here is what it looks like at night. The block will be on a stand when its all done. I am not sure I like the one solid light. I am probably going to change it to the small strand of Xmas lights.
I like the vinyl one better I think so I am probably going to add a vinyl M to the other one in a different color.
Of course I made a card to go with it. I can not add my mom's gift on here yet since she looks on here :)

I also made some cards for the ladies at my hubby's work. I hope they like them. They are my biggest customers :)

I made several in spanish. There are closer pictures at the bottom of this post.

Now for the blog candy! There are several things up for grabs today. Our sponsor is Kich N Bleus! They are offer a wonderful set of digital stamps for one luck person today! They have a great spring collection that is $7.99 but for one lucky winner it will be free!
Another lucky winner will win an awesome cricut cartridge! If you don't have Paisely yet you are missing out. It is a great cartridge.
And some stamps for another lucky winner

To win be a follower and leave me a comment on how to contact you. Also if you have any advice on the glass blocks please let me know :) Next hop on over to Rhonda and see the beautiful project she made.

I also liked the vinyl one but the other would look great with a candle inside and then it would be perfect.

Beautiful cards, absolutely beautiful. I like your glass block the way it is too.
You mentioned doing something in vinyl, I wonder what it would like if you just outlined the letter with vinyl?

I just love the glass block and though I like it the way it is now, I do think a strand of Christmas lights would really make it sparkle! I also love your beautiful, elegant cards! I'm a new follower :)

Me encantan todos los proyectos mostrados, los cristales están espectaculares, se me ocurre la idea de que puedan brillar luces de colores quedaría genial. Las tarjetas te quedaron fabulosas.

I like both of the glass blocks but I think I like the one without the vinyl best. To me, there's just something elegant about etched glass. The "M" on the other one does show up a little bit better but I still prefer the other version. New follower here!

Hi I am a new follower :)! Thanks for posting mother's day cards. You just gave me some inspiration :). I am new to card making so I am learning and having a blast checking out everyone's blog. I have looked at ALOT of blogs and have to say you are a really good card maker. Oh and I like the block with the light in it. I bet it would look really cool with a different colored light in it too and I would add Ribbon around the edge of the block and end with a bow on the top left corner. That would give it some more decoration. :)
