Christmas Banners Day 3

In the eyes of children, we find the joy of Christmas. In their hearts, we find its meaning."
As joyous as Christmas is for most families, for some, their holidays are filled with worry, medical treatments and tests, and pain -- for their child must be hospitalized or she or he needs long-term care rather than being home with their families.
For these kids, Santa doesn't slip down a chimney but rather, often comes in the guise of community volunteers who help make the season bright.

This is the second Christmas season that our own band of dedicated and loving paper crafters have come together to make Holiday banners for children who are too sick to be home for the holidays.  Welcome to the Christmas Banners for Special Needs Kids blog hop!
You should be coming from Susan's blog. If not start at the beginning to see all the great prizes being offered.

Here is my banner.

I cut the ornaments from Joys of the Season and Christmas Cheer. I made them all different sizes.
I used the cornies faces for the first time. I love them.
I used bright colorful paper for the kiddos to enjoy.

Thank you again for visiting us here for a beautiful and worthwhile endeavor.  God bless all the little children wherever they spend their holidays!! Now head on over to Linda's blog to continue on this great hop.

CCC # 50 Snowmen

I cut this card out using Life's a Party cartridge.  I made this snowman card using Inspired Stamps snowman stamp. I colored it with Copics and added Stickles to the hat.
I added some twine and a bell to the side. I cut the scallop oval out with my Lacy Labels cartridge.
I just realized I forgot to post this card for my guest design spot on Christmas Card Challenges. I have had the busiest month ever. I am so sorry for the delay but still wanted to show this cute snowman card.

Circle Blop Hop

Circles are everywhere, everyday in our life. The earth is a circle itself. Okay, a sphere but close enough. Circles are in our drawings, paintings and all art and this blog hop celebrates the beauty of 360 degrees. Please join our crafters as they show the art of circles.

Our hostess is Jearise of Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) and make sure you start at her blog because she has a special give away going on and all the details are on her blog.

Please leave comments along the way to show your support for these wonderful crafters and all the hard work they have done putting this hop of circles together.
I used paper with circle snowflakes and cut my image out in a circle shape.
The image is from Bugaboo and the sentiment is from Pink By Design.
Thank you for hopping today and please continue on to Lynne

Inspired Stamps Xmas Ornament

Today I have my first Christmas Ornament for this year to share with you.

I used Inspired Stamps Christmas Poinsetta set. I stamped it in the burgundy ink that matched the Lacy Circles cut out and added a matching bow.

Check out the other great projects at Inspired Stamps and all the great stamps.

MCCR Thanksgiving Decor

I made this cute plaque with Create a Critters cute turkey at 5 inches. I used a white gel pen to add some details.
The gobble cuts really big so this is at 1 inch.
I started with a wood block I bought at Walmart for under a dollar.
Head on over to MCCR to see the other great projects. Someone else even used the same turkey as me http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/

MCCR November Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the November
100 Cartridge Blog Hop with
Can you believe that it is already November!!
Christmas will be here before you know it.
Have you started on your Christmas cards yet??

This month all the DT projects will be
Winter/Holiday related to give
you some inspiration for your
holiday projects.

You should have started at
You should have come from Erica if not, then you want to start from the beginning @ My Cricut Craft Room  Be sure to hop along and leave some love on each of the blogs for a chance to win some goodies. We love to hear from you.
This month our theme is Winter/ Holiday related. When I first signed up I missed the part about winter theme so I chose these 4 carts for my project:  Bump in the Night, Lacy Labels, My Community, Car Decals

It took me awhile to think of how to use Bump in the Night for Christmas but I came up with a couple things. First I made a Christmas monster tag for my little monster niece.
I used strange cut from Bump in the night at 3 inches for this monster. I cut the tag from Lacy Labels at 4 inches.
These presents were cut from Bump in the Night in my closet cut. They are the door shape.
I cut this door hanger from My Community at 10 inches. The paper is Paper Studio
The cross was cut from Car Decal. I embossed the burgundy paper with trees, which is difficult to see, and sprayed it with glitter spray. I did not adhere the side arms of the burgundy to the beige so they come forward.
The gingerbread is cut from Just Because Cards.

The sentiments I used are from Gingerbread Kisses set by Punkin Patch. The face on the pumpkin and the eye on the monster are from Peachy Keen.

Head on over to Erica's Blog to see the next awesome projects.

This image is so cute. It is from The Stamping Boutique. I colored it with Copics and chalked the edges. The believe is from my new stamp set I won from Punkin Patch Gingerbread Kisses
Can you see my butterfly? I hid it in the red paper.
I also put a butterfly on the back :)

GDT- Seems A Little Sketchy #25

I am excited to be the October guest designer for Seems A Little Sketchy. Some wonderful sketches to play along with if you haven't checked it out you should head over there.

Bugaboo is sponsoring this week, how lucky for me since I LOVE them. I used this cute ghost from Bugaboo. I colored it with Copics and added Stickles to the eyes.
I used Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge for the black oval.
I made a candy holder to go with it. I am going to give this to a lucky student for Halloween. Like they need more candy I know.
This is a beads holder I got at the craft store for around $1.
Here is the sketch I followed from Seems a Little Sketchy. I have really enjoyed being a guest designer and glad they picked me.
Head over to Seems a Little Sketchy and join in the fun. I know I will be :)

Inspired Stamps Cross

I modge podged this cute paper on the cross and distressed the edges. I stamped this scripture stamp from Inspired Stamps on a spellbinders lacy circle cut out.
I found this thick cardboard cross at the crafty store for around one dollar.
Simple and pretty quick minus waiting for the modge podge to dry. I am debating giving it as a gift or hanging it in my craft room. Decisions, decisions.

Sketch Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sketch Blog Hop. Everyone has had so much fun doing these it's turned into a regular event!

The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! You should have come from: Jearsie, if you didn't be sure to go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com. Be sure to check out all of the fabulous cards at the different stops!
Here's the sketch:
Here is the card I made. I had to use my Iphone to take the picture so not the best but you get the point.
I used a tree image from The Stamping Boutique. I colored it with Copics and added Stickles to the bow. The wonderful thing about a sketch is that you can interpret it any way you want so I made a card with a tree because that is how I saw this sketch, a tree with something on it. The pears were perfect for that.
I am the last on the line up so hope you enjoyed the hop. Make sure to go back and check out the rest of the ladies projects if you haven't already.
